Just returned home to Brisbane after an exhilarating 8 days mini holiday in wonderful Melbourne. The highlight of this visit was to see our daughter Maria, and her husband Chris who have only recently moved from Brisbane. Weatherwise it was cool but not too cool and was much better than we expected. Each day was spent profitably by sightseeing. Visits included the World Hertiage listed Exhibition building, the War Memorial, the former gaol/police station/former courts of law, now used by the RMIT. Also day tripped to the Mornington Peninsula and imbibed in a few wine tastings, a berry farm, and a chocolate factory. Needless to say, we had a wonderul time and propose another visit next year.
